Goal
The aim of the project is to sensitize school students in the Gandhi nagar area regarding the role of trees and the need to plant, protect and care for them. |

Background
Siemens approached Nizhal with the goal of conducting the sensitive greening of a locality. The plan was to introduce different aspects of sensitive greening that facilitate the children to speak and care for the trees. |
Current activities
Nine schools were chosen for the project. Siemens employees, along with Nizhal volunteers are in the process of conducting a talk and tree walk in each school. Volunteers from Siemens, trained by Resource Persons from Nizhal have conducted tree surveys across the neighbourhood. The Survey will be compiled and presented to the local Zonal Office and Residents Association for further follow up of tree health in the neighbourhood. |
