| Since its inception,
Nizhal has conducted tree walks to acquaint citizens with
the trees around them. Through its tree walks Nizhal has
hoped to sensitize citizens to the role played by trees
in the environment, the challenges they face and how they
can be protected. Walks have also served as forums where
tree lovers can network with each other. |
Nizhal has conducted
walks in many areas including the Theosophical society,
Guindy national park, Kalakshetra, Besant Nagar, Shastri
nagar, Gandhi nagar, Kodambakkam, Anna nagar, Panagal
park, Ashok nagar, Kilpauk, Natesan park, Nageswara rao
Park, Museum grounds, May day park, My lady park, Karunanidhi
park and KFI grounds.
